2017年U17女子欧洲杯将于6月4日至19日在瑞典举行，共有24支球队报名参赛。东道主瑞典队与西班牙、俄罗斯和土耳其一同被分到A组。 在本次U17欧锦赛上，中国队将与德国、西班牙同处B组，每组前两名直接晋级八强，每组第三名通过抽签决定最终排位。 中国队此次派出的名单由U15国少队和国青队组建而成，教练组由国少队教练组和青训导师组成。
在刚刚结束不久的“长城杯”国际青年足球邀请赛中，中国队分别以3比1战胜日本，2比1胜泰国U16，点球大战5比3胜巴西U16，以小组第一出线并夺得冠军。 不过在与日本队的比赛中，中国队有两名球员被红牌罚下，根据联赛规程，两人都将受到停赛处罚，无法出战与西班牙队的比赛。

Russia were originally drawn alongside Sweden， Spain and Turkey but will now face Slovenia， Armenia and Belarus having been paired with them at under-21 level earlier this year. “As far as I am aware， it is only Russia who requested such a change and only to avoid playing two close neighbours in quick succession，” said UEFA spokesman Paul Taylor. “We had no other choice but to comply.” The new draw sees Arsenal defender Calum Chambers ineligible to face his parent club while former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini represents his country of birth， Democratic Republic of Congo， in its first major tournament.
Ukraine， however， will be able to field players from their top division after being granted an exemption by UEFA following their appeal against a ban imposed on them last month. They are also expected to be able to name their full squad for next month’s finals despite a threat of further sanctions if they were found to involve foreign players.
